Here are a few things to look for when making your own used truck inspection:

Rust

Look for signs of rust that may be developing on the body of the used truck or undercarriage. Even small areas where rust is developing can lead to major problems down the road. Rust deteriorates metals and can severely compromise the integrity of all metals. Therefore, the best way to ensure that your car is solid and durable is to make sure that there is no rust visible.

Belts

Check the engine to make sure that the belts are in excellent condition. When you push down on a belt, the belt should give by no more than half an inch. The belt should also be clean. If any residue rubs off on your hands from the belt, this could be an indication that the belt is in poor condition.

Pipes and hoses

Be sure to check the pipes and hoses within the engine as well. To check the pipes and hoses, squeeze them. They should give easily. If there is any cracking, or if residue from the pipes and hoses comes off in your hands, this could be an indication that the units are breaking down.
